Catch Up.

Sorry all. it has been awhile since I posted. I have been busy. I had midterms last week. I got a 59 out of 60 on one so thats good :) I also signed up for a technology grant program through my school district. It means I got my own projector(that is supposed to be mounted any time now), a voice enhancement system, access to a mobile computer lab, a digital camera and a student clicker response system. It also means that I have all this work I have to do to show that I am learning new technology and using it in my classroom. I put it off for the first few months of school and now I am playing catch up. The good news is that I finally got my voice enhancement system installed last week. It is basically a sound system that I can talk into, and play music through. It also came with a wireless microphone that I can have my students read into. I have had a lot of fun playing with it this week. Especially the first day when my students didn't know what was going on. Other than school and work I have not been doing much. I played Sttlers of Catan with Kenn and his roomate John, and won. John fits right in with our family, he whines when he is losing too :) Anyway I am going to go make some cookies now.

A Poem...

Ok. So I am going to post a poem that John Cleese wrote about Sean Hannity. Now I know some of you may not think it is very funny and some might even be offended, I hope not. But this is my blog and I think it is highly entertaining, also I would welcome any comments :)

Ode to Sean Hannity
by John Cleese

Aping urbanity
Oozing with vanity
Plump as a manatee
Faking humanity
Journalistic calamity
Intellectual inanity
Fox Noise insanity
You’re a profanity
Hannity

Debate?

Ok I will not say anything about the Vice Presidential debate (those of you who know me know what I would say:) except that I did not throw anything at the TV. I think I showed remarkable restraint, I have learned discipline over that last 8 years :) On to the catch up.. it was a fast week. At school I did find out that I most likely will be able to keep my current schedule and my class of 38 went down to 27! Yea! I still have a class of 33 and 36 but still it is better. Also Pushing Daisies premiered this week and I think it is my favorite show on TV now. If you have never seen it you should give it a try. In closing I would like to say you should all go to Dave and Kim's blog and checkout the video David posted a link to. The video is pretty much indescribable, enjoy :)
